Improving ventilation duct efficiency and cutting energy loss saves energy. In developed cities, many high-end homes now include small household central AC spiral ducts as standard. This has boosted the use of various ventilation and air conditioning duct hoses.
Ventilation hoses serve several basic functions:
1.They move air without making noise—or they actually reduce noise.
2.They keep air from leaking out under allowed pressure. They also stop outside air from seeping in.
3.They last a long time and are easy to maintain.
4.They carry hot and cold air to different parts of a building. They ensure air temperature, humidity, flow speed, and cleanliness stay consistent.
Today’s market offers many duct types. Typical ones include nylon ducts, high-temperature ducts, PVC ducts, and PU duct hoses.
Beyond iron and fiberglass ducts, the HVAC industry now uses a new composite high-temperature insulated duct.
These high-temperature insulated ducts have insulation layers with double-sided composite protective layers. The insulation layers are usually foam or glass wool. Common duct boards include aluminum foil composite phenolic foam boards, aluminum foil composite PU foam boards, and aluminum foil composite extruded polystyrene foam boards.
This type of duct performs well. It’s also lightweight, easy to install, and simple to clean. For these reasons, it’s widely used in public and civil buildings—including high-rises.
