PP spiral guards go by multiple names, including rubber hose guards and wire guards, depending on the specific application scenarios.

These guards are primarily designed for use with excavators, loaders, and other types of construction machinery. They are typically installed on the exteriors of hydraulic hoses, cables, and similar products. Their main purpose is to bolster the abrasion resistance, anti-static capabilities, and UV resistance of the internal hoses, effectively safeguarding them in a wide range of harsh environments.

PP spiral guards are manufactured using materials like PP, PE, or PA, and they are produced through the thermoplastic extrusion process. PP offers good elasticity but lacks in wear resistance, while PE is wear-resistant yet has subpar elasticity. Our PP spiral guards, however, are a blend of PP and PE materials. This unique combination endows them with the elasticity of PP and the abrasion resistance of PE. Notably, they exhibit even better wear resistance when the hardness reaches 97.

When it comes to color options, we offer black, yellow, blue, and can also provide custom colors upon request. The entire guard can be a single color or feature a two-tone design. Bright colors, such as yellow, are used for enhanced visibility, while darker colors like black are more dirt-resistant.

Are there different grades of PP spiral guards? Indeed, there are. Ordinary PP spiral guards are wear-resistant and anti-aging. Flame retardant grade guards have the remarkable property of not burning when exposed to fire and extinguishing immediately once removed from the fire source. Additionally, there are insulating guards that can effectively resist static electricity.

You have the flexibility to choose the length, thickness, and packaging of the guards. You can also opt for either a flat or curved surface. Whatever your requirements may be, we are here to meet them. Feel free to reach out to us with any inquiries.
