Material
PE hose
The main material is polyethylene. It is a thermoplastic resin with high flexibility and low temperature resistance.
PVC hose
The main component is polyvinyl chloride, which is made by adding plasticizer and other additives.
Performance differences
Water resistance
Both have good water resistance and can be in contact with water for a long time without being damaged. But the water resistance of PE hose is more outstanding. In the case of long-term immersion, the performance changes are small.
Strength
The tensile strength of PVC flat hose is generally higher than that of PE hose. Therefore, it can withstand greater pressure and tension and is not easy to break. However, PE hose has better flexibility, can adapt to different terrains and use environments, and is not easily damaged by bending.
Weather resistance

Wear resistance

Agricultural irrigation: Both are widely used in the field of agricultural irrigation. The PE hose has good flexibility and is suitable for use in farmlands, orchards and other environments with complex terrain. The PVC hose is more suitable for use in some irrigation systems that require long-term fixed laying due to its high strength and good wear resistance. Firefighting field
PVC hose has good pressure resistance and can withstand high water pressure. Therefore, it can be used in some firefighting occasions with high pressure requirements. The PE hose is light and easy to carry. Therefore, it is more common in some simple firefighting equipment or firefighting in rural areas.
